How often can I take it?

Focus is taken two times daily after meals. It can quite safely and effectively be taken daily. For children, you can opt to not take it on weekends, but be sure to take it daily during the school week.

How quickly does it take effect?

This depends to a large extent on the individual's physiological make-up. While an immediate calming effect is usually noted, it takes a little longer for improvements in concentration, distractibility and memory to be noted. As with BrightSpark,and Focus ADDult the best results are achieved when Focus is used consistently and the recommendations regarding diet and consistent discipline are followed.

How long will I have to take it?

Focus ADHD Formula is an herbal product and is intended to treat the symptoms of ADHD as long as you are taking it. It is quite safe to take forever, if needed. There are no side effects, it is not addictive and it is 100% safe.

If you hope to attain a permanent reduction in the symptoms of ADHD for children, this is possible if you also use BrightSpark. Because BrightSpark is homeopathic, it is possible that use of BrightSpark can permanently improve or eradicate some of the symptoms of ADD or ADHD, and we have seen that in some children.

A 90-120 day supply of 3 bottles is offered at a discount (see the Buy 2 Get 1 FREE special).

<Focus ADHD Formula product page>

Can I combine Focus with your other Homeopathic remedies?

<Focus ADHD Formula product page>

Can I take it with prescription ADD/ADHD medications?

Focus is a very good alternative to Concerta, Ritalin and other psychostimulant drugs for ADHD, but may also be used in addition to them if desired. There should be no interaction between Focus ADHD and Concerta. Please bear in mind that Concerta, Adderall, Ritalin et al are all stimulants and of course Focus ADHD is not - so there should be no problem. However, these prescription drugs will tend to slightly reduce the effectiveness of Focus. This is because Focus ADHD is a natural remedy which promotes health rather than only the suppression of symptoms. Nevertheless, in certain cases (although we do not recommend the psychostimulants unless absolutely necessary) there would be benefits in using Focus along with them.

Always wean off slowly from any medication like Concerta to minimize withdrawal symptoms. For more info, please see:

Should I continue to take prescription ADD/ADHD medications?

This is a question that we cannot answer as each person is different. From our point of view, all other avenues should be explored before the psychostimulant drugs like Ritalin, Concerta, etc are prescribed. Although these medications are FDA approved, you should take the time to thoroughly research the potential side effects and risks of addiction before resorting to these medications, especially in the case of children. For e.g. Adderall, one of the most widely prescribed prescription medicines for ADD/HD has recently been pulled from the Canadian market after being associated with some very serious side effects (although it is still being sold in the USA). Our recommendation is to investigate following a more natural approach with none of the negative side effects experienced with these drugs. Should you decide to stop taking the prescription medicines,  you should consult your medical practitioner for advice on how to wean yourself off them, since many of these medications have strong withdrawal effects.

However, if you feel comfortable continuing their use but are looking to augment and improve their results with Focus ADHD Formula, BrightSpark, StudyPlus or Triple Complex Brain Tonic, this is quite safe to do.

How do I wean my child off other ADHD/ADD medications (Adderall, Ritalin, Concerta etc)?

As you know, Adderall, Ritalin and Concerta are amphetamine stimulants and if they have been used for some time, your child will probably experience withdrawal symptoms when he/she stops using it. These are usually fatigue and moodiness, often with frequent tears and low tolerance levels, which can last up to 2 or 3 weeks.

To wean off these, we suggest:

1.Try to find the least stressful time possible to begin to reduce the dosage. A school vacation is often good - especially if some family members can also take time off to support him/her while they are coming off the drug.

2. As our BrightSpark, Focus, StudyPlus and Triple Complex Brain Tonic can be taken together with any of these drugs without any adverse effects, we recommend that you begin  your child on one or two of these (according to individual need) a week or two before you decide to start cutting down on the drug.

3. If you need any additional help, information or support, you are welcome to use our free Ask Us Support facility.

Does Focus cure ADHD?

No - Focus is intended to help manage the symptoms of ADHD as long as it is being used. However, it is quite safe to take for an indefinite period, being 100% natural, safe and non-addictive.

What else should I take with Focus?

Focus ADHD Formula is an herbal product and is intended to treat the symptoms of ADHD as long as you are taking it. It is quite safe to take forever, if needed. There are no side effects, it is not addictive and it is 100% safe.

If you hope to attain a permanent reduction in the symptoms of ADHD for children, this is possible if you also use BrightSpark. If your child displays regular, severe temper outbursts, it can be very helpful and is quite safe to use Tantrum Tamer along with Focus to eradicate temper tantrums in highly volatile children.

<Focus ADHD Formula product page>

Does Focus help temper tantrums?

Temper tantrums in children with ADHD is often a bi-product of the frustration these children experience in feeling "different" or "out of control". Often, as Focus takes effect, their frustration decreases and so do the temper outbursts. However, in some cases, it can be very helpful and is quite safe to use Tantrum Tamer along with Focus to eradicate temper tantrums in highly volatile children.

<Focus ADHD Formula product page>

Is Focus safe for children and from what age?

Focus can quite safely be given to children from three years and up. Of course, one should be very careful in identifying a three year old child as ADHD or ADD. At that age, this is very difficult to establish and one should be wary about making such diagnoses. However, Focus can quite safely be taken from ages three and up.

<Focus ADHD Formula product page>

Will it help with sleep?

While Focus is not a sleep aid, hyperactivity often plays a role in causing irregular sleep patterns for people with ADHD. As Focus takes effect and reduces hyperactivity, sleep patterns often improve. However, if you feel you need a sleep aid for regular use, consider using SerenitePlus, which is a very effective aid for insomnia and sleep problems.
