Liberty and Freedom do not come cheap. The attack on the World Trade Center in New York City September 11, 2001 was the worse attack on American soil in the history of our country. Lady Liberty standing not far away, must have felt her heartbreak just as all America did, as we watched the inhuman act unfold. Displays of our patriotic symbols across the United States was dramatic and the inspiration for this painting. We are proud of who we are, and our rich American heritage.
