Ahniwake is
Cherokee for Laughing Eyes and is a common name for girls. This painting is all about the
wonder and amazement of childhood. Ahniwake sits among the dandelions with her wolf cub
companion, as the butterflies soar endlessly about. It is easy to see how a child might
think of them as flying flowers.
It could take you
days or even weeks scouring the web, looking at sites or reviewing names
books, talking to the elders. The likelihood you'll spend much of your
precious time ultimately to only find a few hundred names is high. Many
