Appaloosa Spirit
Author: Audrey Pavia
Spirit of the Horse
This book is a good addition to an appaloosa fans book collection. The text
is very informative and the pictures a delightful. Having been an appaloosa
fan for many years I thought I couldn't learn any more, so bought this book
for the pictures. Reading the book anyway I was very suprised. It deals
breifly with all aspects of the appaloosa horse including the history of the
'ghost wind' horses. For example did you know that after fercely carrying
their masters into battle and fighting themselves the Nez Pérce appaloosas
were taken home and tended to by the childern. After reading this book you
realise just how remarkable the appaloosa is and how lucky we are to still
have it.
